Contract Manufacturer and Licensee of Axial Vector Engine Corporation Hires Former Formula 1 Engine Designer

Senior design engineer is brought on board to further accelerate planned production and future improvements of unique internal combustion engine.

Jan 4, 2006

PORTLAND, OR, January 4, 2006 — Axial Vector™ Engine Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: AXVC), a company developing exciting and potentially revolutionary internal combustion engine technologies, announced today its first Manufacturing Licensee, Adaptive Propulsion Systems, has hired Pierre-Louis Verhnes to add further talent to their existing engineering department. Pierre is part of a group of engineers and others recently hired by Adaptive Propulsion Systems to oversee the production and engineering of the Axial Vector line of products including the Axial Vector Engines and Gen Sets that incorporate the unique high performance engine. Pierre-Louis has extensive internal combustion engine design experience both in the United States and Europe. He was a senior engine designer for the French Formula 1 (Peugeot) racing team in Europe for over five years. Prior to that, he was a principal engine design engineer at Cummins, one of the world's largest engine manufacturers. Recently, he has been the technical director for IMAGINE, a company that offers engine system simulation software used by many of the world's leading companies in the automotive, aerospace and industrial arenas. Adaptive Propulsion Systems also announced further strengthening of the team with the hiring of Skip Williams, who worked with Northrop Grumman as a manufacturing engineer. Mr. Williams was involved with various military and aerospace projects including the F/A-18, E-2C, A-10, Global Hawk, and the F-14. Before that, Mr. Williams was a design engineer at GE Aircraft Engines where he lead numerous cross- functional teams on projects that ranged from field failure investigations to manufacturing tolerance relief. Skip is a graduate of GE's Advanced Course in Engineering. The Axial Vector Engine is being built under contract by Adaptive Propulsion System, a Long Island NY based company that specializes in providing state-of-the-art propulsion technology and systems, which included the Axial Vector engine, for a wide range of mobility platforms targeted for the United States Military and Military of NATO Member Countries and that of the United Arab Emirates. Axial Vector announced a design freeze in late November 2005 that allows it to proceed to the production phase of the prototype engine and Axial Flux generator targeted for the 2nd quarter of 2006. "I am absolutely delighted with the highly experienced world-class professionals that Axial Vector and Adaptive Propulsion System continue to attract." said Dr. Raymond Brouzes, President of Axial Vector Engine Corporation. "This further confirms the unique and breakthrough nature of our technologies by top professionals who, after doing their due diligence, decide to join us. We look forward to working with these executives."

About Axial Vector™ Engine Corporation
Axial Vector Engine Corporation is a publicly traded company that owns, develops, and licenses proprietary intellectual property regarding unique internal combustion engine and power generating technologies.

We believe the fundamental economic conditions that ruled since the development of the internal combustion engine over 100 years ago no longer exist. In today's world of high fuel and oil costs, energy efficiency, weight, and space are key considerations.

We are developing and commercializing an exciting and potentially revolutionary internal combustion engine. Our engines are lighter, smaller, and have fewer parts than a traditional engine. They are able to run on multiple fuels while making more power at lower RPMs than traditional ones. These innovative machines will be suitable replacements for existing engines in a number of industrial categories.

Key markets for the Axial Vector™ Engine include a number of specific military and industrial applications. Additionally, we are developing a family of electric power generators (GEN SETS) incorporating our unique Axial E-Flux technology. The GEN SETS have a high power density, will consume less fuel per unit of electrical power output, and are considerably smaller than any known internal combustion engine generators and the control is totally and dynamically integrated with the AV Engine.

About Adaptive Propulsion Systems
Adaptive Propulsion Systems (APS) designs and develops state of the art propulsion and power generating systems targeting the United States, NATO and UAE special operation forces (SOF). The development efforts of APS center upon tactical fuel (Diesel, JP5 and JP8) engines in a wide range of applications. These applications include handheld power generating, standby and always on power generation as well as automotive, maritime and aeronautical propulsion systems. Future vision of the APS team is to incorporate the Axial Vector engine, Axial E-Flux generator into a hybrid vehicle drive system.

APS strives to maintain its position as a system solution provider for the world's most demanding customers.
