Axial Vector™ Engine Corporation Announces the Filing of a Patent on Generator / Electric Motor Assembly

October 3, 2006

Portland, Oregon, October 3, 2006 - Axial Vector™ Engine Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: AXVC) announced today that the company has filed a patent on its generator / motor assembly.

AVEC filed a broad patent on Monday Sept 18, 2006 to protect the intellectual property associated with its new generator and electric motor development related to permanent magnet technology and novel stators and coils in its axial flux coreless designs. The advanced integrated technology allows both its generators and motors of all sizes - milliwatts to megawatts - to achieve efficiencies that equal or exceed 98%.

The design based on new technologies provides the generators and motors with high power density and with attractive features such as scalability, flexibility of output and built-in customer-specific characteristics. The specially developed windings enhance the creation of pure sine waves while reducing the harmonic interference and contribute to required voltages when used in a generator configuration and torque versus speed characteristics when used in an electric motor configuration.

The patent further seeks to protect AVEC developed inverters and other related electrical system equipment that maximizes system efficiency.

Dr. Raymond Brouzes, President and CEO of Axial Vector™ Engine Corporation stated, "We are pleased to announce the filing of this important new patent adding to our family of power generation and power utilization applications. We expect these developments to be an important leap forward in energy savings in electric generators and motors."

The generator will be used in conjunction with the Axial Vector™ Engine, such as Workhorse 7.2, to create an efficient GENSET system source of prime power, distributed power, standby power, and portable power. The AVEC smaller size of the electric motor and high energy efficiency make it ideal for a wide variety of applications including the reduction of electricity consumption in compressor motors for refrigerators and air conditioning units.

The Department of Energy and the Appliance Magazine made it clear to us how our high-efficiency coreless permanent axial flux motor would help industry meet the Energy-Efficient Product Provisions of 2005 (EPACT 2005) amended standards passed and signed into law by Congress and the President. Almost 60% of all electrical power generated in the USA is consumed by electric motors, many of which are inefficient. Electric motors account for 75% of industrial consumption of electrical power. The USA presently has an installed base 183 million refrigerators, refrigerator-freezers and freezers with an annual (2004) power consumption greater than one quad (a quad is a quadrillion BTUs or 1015 BTU). Electric motors powering HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems in commercial buildings account for approximately 50% of the buildings' total electric costs. The first seven months of YTD 2005 of USA refrigerator-freezers production was 7.27 (annual projection at 12.3) million units while the global annual sales are expected to rise to 52.5 million units. Total air conditioning reached 14,207,707 units during the first seven month of 2005. (Refrigerators and air conditioners all contain compressor motors plus evaporator and condenser cooling fans - which also use motors). Appliance Magazine in its July issue indicates that 118.14 million electric-motor-containing appliances were shipped in the USA during the first seven months of the year - that extrapolates to 202.53 million units for the year. These specific very large markets and others can all be served by the AVEC small motors. There is an immense and growing market for high efficiency electric motors.

The Axial Vector GENSET™, which combines the engine and generator, will be featured at the International PowerGen Show in Orlando, Florida in late November 2006.

About Axial Vector™ Engine Corporation
Axial Vector™ Engine Corporation is a publicly traded company (OTC Bulletin Board: AXVC) that owns, develops and licenses proprietary intellectual property regarding unique internal combustion engine technologies. We are applying these technologies to develop an exciting, new, smaller and lighter internal combustion engine that produces significantly greater horsepower and three times more torque on less fuel than conventional engines of similar size. The internal combustion engine as we know it today may never comply with mandated pollution standards and meet the strong demand for cleaner and far greater fuel-efficiency engines. We see the Axial Vector™ as the engine design that will comfortably meet these challenges, and more.

Key entry markets for the Axial Vector™ engine include a number of specific military and industrial applications. Additionally, we are developing a family of electric power generators incorporating our unique Axial Vector™ technology. The generators will consume less fuel per unit of electrical power output and are considerably smaller than any known internal combustion engine generators.
